Since the global pandemic hit the world early this year, and with everyone self-quarantining for safety precautions, many recording artists have either postponed or delayed their upcoming music until further notice.
What we expected to be a long wait, is no longer the case, because ‘further notice’ has indeed arrived.
With new music  by Drake, The Weeknd, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift etc., in the past few months being cooped up at home, we also have so many others that are upcoming in the next few days, and we’re barely holding on to the edge of our seats!

Sam Smith’s new single ‘Diamonds’

In an Instagram post, on September 14th, Sam Smith revealed that he would be releasing his new song called ‘Diamonds’ on the 18th of September. "DIAMONDS New single coming this Friday, September 18th x," was the caption beneath his photo. The upcoming song would be the second original solo single from Sam Smith this year, following his other single,‘To Die For’ which was released in February.
 

Keith Urban’s 11th studio album ‘The Speed of Now Part 1’

Said to be released on September 18th 2020, the album’s title came to the singer about almost a year ago in October 2019. “I liked it because I felt like life was flying by so fast. But music, for me, has always been the place where it slows down and doesn't even exist. I would never have imagined that, in 2020, this album title would take on a whole new meaning and yet somehow still feel incredibly relevant”, he said. Urban made the announcement of him working on new music in May this year, amidst the Coronavirus quarantine period.
 

Justin Bieber’s 6th studio album allegedly called ‘Holy’

Big on secrecy and suspense, Justin Bieber got things going on September 11th with the first post, which was amplified by longtime manager Scooter Braun, who retweeted Bieber’s hashtag "#newerabegins?" Then, the infamous popstar was seen tweeting ‘soon’. After that, on Monday, September 14th, Bieber tweeted again. This time it was the words "FOUR DAYS" along with an image of a blue sky and a link to pre-save a song (or maybe an album?) allegedly titled "Holy."
 

Alicia Keys’ 7th studio album titled ‘Alicia’

After multiple delays because of Covid-19, Alicia Keys finally revealed the release of her upcoming latest album: September 18th. She announced the news via a video of her scrolling through tweets asking when her new album would be out. The follow up to her 2016 album ‘Here’, some of the new songs are ‘Show Me Love, Underdog, So Done, Love Looks Better, Perfect Way to Die, Good Job and Time Machine’.
 

Ava Max’s 1st studio album, ‘Heaven & Hell’

The ‘Sweet but Psycho’ singer began writing her then-untitled album in 2018. She completed the album in the beginning of 2019, but continued to work on it, by adding and removing songs. Then in December last year, she announced that it would be released in the next few months. However, because of the global pandemic, her album-releasing plans were delayed. Finally after months and months, Max announced that ‘Heaven & Hell’ would be out September 18th.
 

Carrie Underwood’s holiday album called ‘My Gift’

Kicking off Christmas three months earlier, country singer Carrie Underwood recently announced the release of her holiday album. “I’ve always wanted to make a Christmas album and it’s been a long time coming,” said the American Idol winner. Taking the announcement to Instagram, the singer revealed that the album which would feature both her son and John Legend, will be released September 25th.
