For one night only, Irish boy band Boyzone are performing at Malawati Indoor Stadium, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Your favourite boys Ronan Keating, Mikey Graham, Shane Lynch, and Keith Duffy will all be there performing their Thank You & Goodnight Farewell Tour. Sadly this is Boyzone’s first and last live performance in Malaysia, so this really is a once in a lifetime opportunity and shouldn’t be missed. The band are super excited for their performance and even recorded a special message for fans coming to see them in Kuala Lumpur. Check it out:

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Boyzone. I’m sorry to say, it’ll be their final anniversary after the boys announced they’ll be splitting up following their final world tour. There’s no hiding the fact this is a farewell tour, after all the clues in the name, but that doesn’t mean there’s any need for tears. The boys are performing together for the last time and it’s clear they’re making it count. We’ve heard they’re putting on a killer performance and they’ll definitely be taking the crowd back to their youth.

In case you (somehow) missed it, Boyzone killed the game throughout the 90s and 00s with hit single after hit single, achieving international fame. Tour spoiler alert, the setlist is out and they’ll be performing your favourite hits! It’s an extensive list, featuring 25 songs including ‘When You Say Nothing At All’, ‘Picture Of You’, ‘Life Is A Rollercoaster’ and ‘Love Me For a Reason’, just to name a few.

In between singing their classics, you can expect all the old chemistry, comradery and banter between the boys. It’s just like it was when they were starting out. There’s plenty of anecdotes and nostalgia going around too. You’ll be forgiven for thinking you’re 20 years younger again! It’s crazy to think the boys were in their late teens, early twenties when they started out, and how they’ve now grown into men in their early to mid-forties. I’m pleased to see they’ve still got their own unique style and haven't changed despite how far they’ve come since the early days. But it’s still a bit mind boggling to think Ronan Keating was just 16 when he joined Boyzone and now he’s 42.

Boyzone have always had a strong bond with their fans, and they never really seemed like they were in it for the money or the fame. It’s good to hear that hasn’t changed, speaking about the motivations for the tour Keating simple said “This is just us going back out to say thank you one last time and to enjoy ourselves.” Despite not being to Malaysia before, Boyzone explained that they selected the locations based on where they knew there was a devoted fan base.

This tour is a celebration of Boyzone’s history across their 25-year career, which means covering the good and the sad. So I know I said there’s no need for tears, but perhaps I was a little hasty, as of course, it wouldn't be right for the boys not to mention their missing 5th member, Stephen Gately who sadly passed away 10 years ago, from natural causes. There’ll be a heartfelt dedication to Stephen, as it’s clear he’s still greatly missed by the remaining band members. Don’t let that get you down though, this is a time to look back with fond memories and a bittersweet reminder that you should do what you love, as life is short.

It’s clear this is no ‘tired has-been’ tour, as I’ve only heard rave reviews from critics and fans alike from across the globe. Now they might not be as young as they used to be, but you wouldn’t know it. The handsome quartet certainly aren’t looking too shabby as they begin the night in their formal wear before progressing to sequined half matching outfits. There’s also plenty of costume changes and energy to go around. Oh and don’t worry, they’ve still got the moves! Get ready to scream as they perform their classic synchronized dance routines to your favourite tracks.
